Meet Coach Heather

Hi, I’m Heather McCarthy! You can call me Coach!

I actually started on my journey to where I am now by getting my Masters in Clinical Psychology. Thus, the “MINDSET” piece of my training is really important to me, for my clients.

Currently, I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, Functional and Pain-Free Movement Specialist, and Pre-Natal/Post-Natal Specialist. I help women all over the world, of all ages, from all walks of life to SHED WEIGHT, BUILD MUSCLE, and GAIN CONFIDENCE.

Since completing my Masters and Coaching certifications, I have worked in Group Fitness for nearly 10 years, mainly focused on resistance training programming, but I love cardio too!

In fact, I fell in love with running some years ago. Fun fact: The first race I ever ran was the Chicago Marathon! After having three daughters (by 3 cesareans), I began running and then competing, and I realized I was quite fast! (New parent stress really gets your feet moving, LOL!)

I am part owner of a personal training gym, SET Fitness, located in Western Springs, IL, and I’m also a Lulu Lemon Ambassador.

During the 2020 pandemic, I pivoted my business toward online program offerings, and I started coaching both for nutrition and resistance training through specific programming. Now, I have modified and curated my program into what it is today and successfully helped people with their health & fitness goals.
